LinkedIn is helping its members find employment while on the go, thanks to its new Job Search app for iOS.

The LinkedIn Job Search app is useful for both active job seekers and those who are just keeping an eye out for new opportunities. The app comes with many of LinkedIn’s core job search features including the ability to conduct custom searches with filters for title, location, company, industry or seniority level. Plus, the app simplifies the search process by offering recommended jobs based on saved searches, jobs viewed and a user’s LinkedIn profile.

It is also important to note that the app enables users to learn more about the companies they are interested in, including the ability to search their network to find connections that already are employed by a specific company. Additionally, LinkedIn Job Search can send notifications to users when a recruiter has viewed their resume, when saved jobs are about to expire or when new jobs are available that meet the user’s search criteria.

“More than 40 percent of you are currently using mobile to look at jobs on LinkedIn. We get it,” the LinkedIn blog states. “It can be hard to search for a job while you’re at your desk, not to mention the potentially awkward conversation with your current boss. Our goal is to help make this process easier for you and to help you be discreet. Everything you do within the app will be completely private and not shared with your network.”
