The Trivia Crack app is making a splash both in the U.S. and overseas.
The simple trivia game has not only risen to the number one spot in Apple’s App Store, but also quickly solidified a position as the number one trivia game in the U.K. In fact, App Annie revealed in December 2014 that Trivia Crack is the top downloaded gaming app in the world, reaching 125 million players across the globe.
The game enables users to battle their friends’ or other random players’ trivia knowledge. Each player spins the wheel and then Trivia Crack offers up multiple choice questions within six different categories: history, geography, science, sports, entertainment and the arts. Plus, players can submit their own user-generated questions, which other players can rate after answering. Currently, more than 200,000 questions have been submitted by users, with 2,000 new question being added each day.
“Since adapting Trivia Crack for English-speaking audiences in mid-2014, we have quickly discovered that there is high demand from hardcore and casual app gamers alike for a fun, insightful trivia game in the European countries,” said Maximo Cavazzani, CEO of Etermax. “With 38 million users already playing Trivia Crack in the U.S., we are thrilled to be seeing the same enthusiasm from gamers in the U.K. in such a short period of time.”
