To say that social networks are incredibly popular would be an understatement. Networks like Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn register millions (in Facebook’s case more than one billion) of users every month.
More and more social networks are popping up each month hoping to piggy back off the success of the big three. While Omegle is not technically new, it was founded in 2008, it is currently trending in the social networking category in the iOS app store. Through Omegle, users are set up to message with strangers that have similar interests. Throughout the chat users maintain anonymity and only reveal and talk about what they choose.
The app costs $0.99 to download on iOS devices but is free on Android and Windows Phone.
