Get Ready For Football with Fanzooloo

Before tailgate season is in full effect, it might be a good idea for all avid sports fans to download Fanzooloo.

The fan-based mobile application is being described as “ESPN meets Trip Advisor or Yelp”. Fanzooloo enables fans to favorite specific sport venues, such as Wrigley Field or Lambeau Field, as well as helps them discover nearby places (parking, restaurants, gas stations and ATMs) and receive tips about the events they are attending from other sports fans.

Fanzooloo also just launched a mobile check-in system as the company expands into college sports. The check-in system will be available for all SEC and NFL teams, and launches September 1 at the Alabama vs. Michigan Cowboys Classic in Arlington, TX.

The addition of the mobile check-in system puts Fanzooloo in competition with Yelp and Groupon. However, the difference is that Fanzooloo focuses solely on its core audience – sports fans. This means that the application aims to only bring recommended locations and deals that will appeal to sports enthusiasts.

Additionally, when fans ‘favorite’ a team, they have the option to get immediate push notification deals relating to their favorite teams on their mobile phone.

“So if the Cowboys win, a restaurant like J Gilligan’s in Arlington can post an offer like ‘Stop by and celebrate the Cowboys win with 2 for 1 hot wings,’ and fans will get an immediate notification on their mobile phone while they’re at the game,” says Fanzooloo CEO, Kaylyn Thornal. “I’d rather wait out the traffic with some hot wings than fight 90,000 people to get back to Dallas, you know?”

Fanzooloo already includes more than 1500 merchants and information for every NFL, MLB and NBA team stadium. Fans can also find which local bars offer a free shuttle to the game, locate and purchase parking and game tickets within the app, find pre-game happy hours and locate fan recommended food and beverages inside every stadium. The app is currently available for free on both Android and iOS devices.
